AI visibility tools for agencies track several clients in ChatGPT, Google’s AI and other assistants. But an agency also needs to check billing, client separation, each client’s access and reports under its own brand. This guide compares six tools on those points.
In short
- Only Profound charges per client: $399 a month per workspace, on top of the $99 base. The others charge by prompts, credits or runs.
- All six AI visibility tools put each client in a separate project, workspace or report. So the plan’s project or prompt limit sets the size of the portfolio.
- Semrush and SE Ranking document white label. On the other hand, Otterly and Ahrefs say they don’t offer it, although Otterly accepts the agency’s logo on the PDF.
- With 50 daily prompts per client, 10 clients cost $450 to $4,089 a month. However, for 50 clients, Peec AI and Semrush only offer custom pricing.
What does an agency need in an AI visibility tool?
In AI visibility tools, agencies above all need management features on top of measurement. The main ones are one project per client and read-only access for the client. In addition, branded reports, quick prospect audits and a single invoice for the whole portfolio matter.
Measurement quality comes first, and the criteria for collection, country and export are in our GEO tools comparison. Therefore, this guide only looks at agency use. In searches for AI tools for agencies, these products also go by AI visibility tracker or GEO SEO tracker.
So we compared Profound, Peec AI, Otterly, Semrush, Ahrefs and SE Ranking. NotHuman, which publishes this blog, works in the same market, so we left it out of the comparison. If the topic is new to you, start with our guide to what GEO is.

How do AI visibility tools charge: per client, per prompt or per engine?
AI visibility tools charge agencies in three ways. First, Profound charges per client, with one workspace per brand. Peec AI, Otterly, Semrush and SE Ranking sell a volume of prompts or credits, which the agency splits among its clients. Finally, Ahrefs charges per run, counting prompt, engine and location.
| Tool | Billing unit | Published monthly price |
|---|---|---|
| Profound | Client workspace | $99 + $399 per client |
| Peec AI | Credit: prompt × model × day | $245 to $795 |
| Otterly | Prompt, on four engines | $189 to $489 |
| Semrush | Prompt and monitored site | $199 to $299 |
| Ahrefs | Check: prompt × engine × location | $50 to $250, plus overage |
| SE Ranking | Prompt and project | $129 to $279 |
Prices are monthly, in US dollars, on plans for more than one client: Profound, Peec AI, Otterly, Semrush, Ahrefs and SE Ranking.
At Profound, Agency Growth costs $99, but each client workspace adds $399. That workspace includes 100 daily prompts in ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews. At Peec AI, one credit equals one prompt, on one model, for one day. So one prompt on three models takes up 90 credits a month. At Otterly, each prompt runs on ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot, while Gemini, AI Mode and Claude are add-ons. The Otterly vs Peec AI comparison puts the two side by side, with prices in Brazilian reais.
Country and engine multiply the bill. For example, at Otterly the same prompt in four countries counts as four prompts. At Ahrefs, each engine and each location uses one check. Semrush tracks one engine per campaign, but the page doesn’t say whether the same prompt on two engines counts twice.
Can you separate clients and competitors by project?
Yes, in all six tools. Each client becomes a workspace, a project or a saved report, with its own prompts and competitors. However, the project limit changes from plan to plan, and so does the way the agency splits prompt volume among clients.
Peec AI allows 3, 10 or 25 projects, depending on the plan, and SE Ranking allows 10 on Core and 30 on Growth. Semrush monitors 5 sites on Starter and 15 on Pro+, while Otterly offers unlimited workspaces on Standard and Premium. Finally, at Profound each client takes a $399 workspace, and Ahrefs doesn’t state a limit on saved reports.
At Peec AI and Otterly, all clients draw from one shared account volume, so the agency decides how much each one gets. Peec AI, however, requires a minimum of 900 credits per project, which equals 10 prompts on three models. According to Profound’s documentation, each workspace has its own prompts, competitors and engines. As a result, a change in one client doesn’t affect the others.
Semrush’s knowledge base describes its AI visibility toolkit as a fit for one or a few domains. For several brands, however, Semrush points to AIO, part of its Enterprise plan. The kit’s limits for a single brand are in the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit review.
Who on the team and on the client side can see what?
In general, AI visibility tools for agencies let clients see only their own data. The exception is Ahrefs, where that requires the Enterprise plan, at $1,499 a month. Otterly, for example, has three roles: Admin, Member and Viewer. A Viewer sees reports and citations and exports data, but can’t create or edit anything, according to Otterly’s help center. In addition, each person only accesses the workspaces the admin picks.
At Peec AI, agency plans include unlimited team and client users. Permissions apply company-wide or per project, with full or read-only access. Profound, on the other hand, includes five team seats on Agency Growth. For clients, it documents a read-only dashboard shared by link, which also exports to PDF.
At Semrush, each extra user costs from $45 a month, and the client gets the report by invitation or by link. Likewise, SE Ranking sells client seats in its Agency Pack.
Can AI visibility tools put the agency’s brand on reports?
Yes, but at different levels across AI visibility tools for agencies. Semrush and SE Ranking document white label: the report carries the agency’s logo and none of the vendor’s brand. Otterly, Peec AI and Ahrefs, on the other hand, send the data to Google’s Data Studio, where the agency builds its own dashboard.
| Tool | Report under the agency’s brand |
|---|---|
| Semrush | White label in the Pro report, at $20 per report |
| SE Ranking | White label for the platform and reports |
| Otterly | No native white label; PDF with logo and Data Studio |
| Peec AI | Data Studio on Scale; white label not mentioned |
| Profound | Dashboard by link and PDF; white label not mentioned |
| Ahrefs | No white label; Data Studio on Advanced |
At Semrush, the Pro report in My Reports costs $20 a month per report. It swaps the Semrush logo for the agency’s and removes Semrush as the email sender. It also supports Prompt Tracking widgets.
At SE Ranking, the Agency Pack changes the platform’s colors, logo and domain. The pack starts at $69 a month, but only on annual billing.
According to Otterly, its interface and URLs can’t show the agency’s brand. That’s why it recommends Data Studio and accepts the agency’s logo on the PDF. At Peec AI, Data Studio only comes with Scale, but every plan has a shareable dashboard.
According to Ahrefs, the tool doesn’t allow white label reports. From the Advanced plan up, however, the Brand Radar connector sends the data to Data Studio. Custom prompt data also comes out through the API without using API units. Finally, Profound doesn’t mention white label, and Agency Growth has no API.
Can you audit prospects before signing the contract?
Yes, because Profound, Peec AI and Otterly have prospect workspaces that run a short audit before the deal. At Profound and Peec AI, the audit turns into a client project as soon as the client signs. In addition, in Brazil, RD Station offers a free AI presence diagnostic for agencies to use in prospecting.
Profound’s Agency Growth includes 10 pitch workspaces a month, with 25 prompts for 7 days. Five extra workspaces cost $199 a month. At Peec AI, pitch projects are free: 3, 5 or 7 active, with 25, 50 or 75 prompts, depending on the plan. At Otterly, they’re part of the partner program.
RD Station’s Radar GEO para Agências (GEO Radar for Agencies) shows brand presence, sentiment and a comparison with competitors. The page, however, doesn’t say how many prompts the analysis runs.
A week of data gives a snapshot, not a trend, because AI answers change with every run. That’s why a baseline needs fixed, repeated prompts.
How much do AI visibility tools cost for 10, 25 or 50 clients?
With 50 daily prompts per client, 10 clients cost $450 to $4,089 a month in AI visibility tools for agencies. For 25 clients with daily collection, the bill ranges from $1,125 to $10,074. However, for 50 clients, Peec AI and Semrush only offer custom pricing, and Profound points to its Enterprise plan.
The scenario uses the list of 50 prompts per client from our measurement protocol. Collection, however, runs daily, not 5 runs a month as in the minimum protocol. The engines also differ: three at Profound, Peec AI and Ahrefs, four at Otterly and one per campaign at Semrush. Therefore, the plans aren’t equivalent.
| Tool | 10 clients | 25 clients |
|---|---|---|
| Ahrefs | $450 | $1,125 |
| Otterly | $489 | $1,281 |
| Semrush | $779 | Custom pricing |
| Peec AI | $795 | $795, with weekly collection |
| Profound | $4,089 | $10,074 |
- Ahrefs: each client uses 4,500 checks a month. Scale, at $250, covers 25,000, while overage costs $0.01 per check. With weekly collection, however, 25 clients fit in Scale.
- Otterly: the partner Premium plan has 500 prompts, enough for 10 clients. So for 25, you add eight packs of 100 prompts at $99 each.
- Semrush: Pro+, at $299, covers 15 sites and 100 prompts. Thus, for 10 clients, you add eight packs of 50 prompts at $60 each.
- Peec AI: 10 clients take up 45,000 of Scale’s 65,000 credits. With 25, daily collection exceeds the plan, but weekly collection uses a third of the credits and fits.
- Profound: the math is the $99 base plus $399 per client, but each workspace already includes 100 prompts.
What about 50 clients?
With 50 clients, the published prices add up to $2,250 at Ahrefs, $2,469 at Otterly and $20,049 at Profound. However, Peec AI caps Scale at 25 projects, and Semrush caps Pro+ at 15 sites. In addition, Profound points agencies with dozens of clients to Agency Enterprise. Otterly’s pricing page, in fact, offers Enterprise with custom pricing from 1,000 prompts, which here means 20 clients.
Per client, with 10 clients and daily collection, the cost ranges from about $45 at Ahrefs to $409 at Profound. For agencies in Brazil, prices in US dollars mean adding exchange rates and taxes to the service price, as our guide to GEO for agencies shows. To show clients the return on that cost, see how to calculate SEO and GEO ROI.
What we found analyzing six AI visibility tools
We read the pricing pages, documentation and help centers of the six AI visibility tools, focusing on how agencies use them. Then we counted how many of the six meet each of the five criteria below:
- Plan or package to manage agency clients: 4 of 6: Profound, Peec AI, Otterly and SE Ranking.
- Per-client billing: 1 of 6, that is, only Profound.
- Documented white label: 2 of 6, Semrush and SE Ranking, while Otterly and Ahrefs say they don’t offer it and Peec AI and Profound don’t mention it.
- Read-only client access inside the tool, outside Enterprise: 5 of 6, all but Ahrefs.
- Prospect workspace: 3 of 6: Profound, Peec AI and Otterly.
In other words, none of the AI visibility tools we analyzed gives agencies both things: per-client billing and reports under their own brand. Profound charges per client, but doesn’t mention white label. Semrush and SE Ranking, on the other hand, have white label, but charge by sites, projects and prompts.
